Planned Companies – Groundskeeper – Job DescriptionPosition at Planned CompaniesMonday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pmPay Rate: 18.00 an hourSummaryThe Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of the property's exterior grounds and common outdoor areas. This role helps ensure the community remains safe, attractive, and welcoming for residents, guests, and visitors. The Groundskeeper performs routine landscaping, grounds maintenance, and property upkeep while identifying and reporting any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or property damage.Primary Job Responsibilities:Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all exterior grounds, walkways, parking areas, and common spacesPerform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, and wateringRemove litter, debris, leaves, and other waste from the property on a regular basisMaintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping featuresAssist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, ice treatment, leaf collection, and storm cleanup as neededInspect grounds regularly and report safety hazards, property damage, or maintenance concerns to managementOperate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and efficient mannerClean and maintain outdoor amenities such as playgrounds, patios, courtyards, dog parks, and recreational areasAssist with property beautification projects and landscaping improvementsSupport maintenance staff with exterior-related tasks and special projects as neededFollow all company safety policies and proceduresMaintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents, guests, vendors, and team membersRequirements:Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, or related experience preferredKnowledge of landscaping equipment, tools, and basic horticultural practicesAbility to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periodsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining property appearanceReliable, self-motivated, and able to work independentlyAbility to follow directions and prioritize tasks effectivelyBenefitsFull-time employees (defined as working 30 or more hours per week) are eligible for medical, dental, vision and other ancillary benefits.All employees (full-time and part-time) are eligible to participate in the company's 401K which has an employer match.Planned Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
