Job description

Be the Organized Force Behind a Fast-Moving Aviation Operation

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy being at the center of a busy operation, this could be a great opportunity to build your career in aviation, fleet operations, and maintenance administration.

As a GSE Work Control employee, you'll play an important role in keeping our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operation running smoothly. You'll work closely with technicians, supervisors, vendors, and customers to make sure equipment records are accurate, maintenance is properly documented, work is scheduled, and everyone has the information they need.

This isn't a typical desk job. You'll be working alongside a maintenance team in an active airport environment, gaining exposure to aircraft ground support equipment, fleet maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, parts, vendors, and day-to-day aviation operations.

What You'll Do

Keep the operation organized by maintaining accurate equipment records, work orders, service histories, and maintenance documentation.

Manage work orders from start to finish, including creating, tracking, updating, and closing work orders.

Help keep equipment ready to work by assisting with preventative maintenance (PMI) and repair scheduling.

Work directly with technicians and supervisors to ensure completed maintenance is accurately documented, and equipment status is up to date.

Track equipment availability, including units in service, out of service, awaiting repair, or ready for use.

Turn information into useful reports by helping track equipment performance, downtime, maintenance activity, and trends.

Support parts and purchasing activities, including parts ordering, inventory tracking, and communication with vendors.

Help keep customers informed by communicating equipment status, maintenance updates, and other important information.

Support billing and invoicing through accurate data entry and documentation.

Maintain organized digital and physical files and records.

Help ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Take on additional administrative and operational projects that help the GSE team work more efficiently.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with different types of people, and able to keep track of multiple priorities at once.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus.

1–3 years of administrative, coordination, fleet, maintenance, or operations experience.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Experience with a maintenance management system is a plus; ServiceChannel or EBIS experience is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.

Experience That Will Help You Stand Out

Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

Aviation or airport operations

Fleet administration

Maintenance coordination

Preventative maintenance programs

Parts or inventory management

Working alongside technicians or maintenance teams

Work order or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Your Work Environment

You'll be based in an active airport maintenance operation, working alongside the people responsible for keeping critical ground support equipment safe, reliable, and available.

You'll spend most of your time in an office environment, but you'll also have regular interaction with technicians, supervisors, equipment, and shop operations. You should be comfortable working around an active maintenance shop and occasionally entering shop areas.

Why This Role Matters

GSE is critical to keeping airport and aviation operations moving. When equipment needs maintenance, repairs, parts, documentation, or scheduling, you help connect all the pieces.

Your organization and attention to detail will help technicians stay productive, equipment stay available, records stay accurate, and customers stay informed.

The Skills That Will Make You Successful

Highly organized – You know how to keep information, paperwork, and priorities under control.

Detail-oriented – You catch the little things that can make a big difference.

A strong communicator – You're comfortable working with technicians, managers, vendors, and customers.

A problem solver – When something changes, you're able to figure out what needs to happen next.

Tech savvy – You're comfortable learning new systems and using technology to stay organized.

Team focused – You understand that great operations depend on people working together.

Mechanically curious – You don't need to be a mechanic, but an interest in equipment and how things work is a definite plus.

Ready to Get Your Career Moving?

If you're looking for a role where you can use your administrative skills in a hands-on aviation environment, work with a great maintenance team, and gain valuable experience in GSE and fleet operations, we'd like to hear from you.
