Job description
Working closely with the executive team, this individual will help shape the future direction of the Insurance Services Business by driving strategic initiatives that improve performance, modernise capabilities and support long-term growth. The successful candidate will inherit an established team and be responsible for creating a clear transformation vision, aligning stakeholders and delivering measurable business outcomes.
The organisation has developed a highly successful business supported by significant operational expertise, proprietary systems and extensive historical data. As the business enters its next phase of growth, there is a strong focus on leveraging these assets more effectively through modern technology, improved analytics, automation and enhanced ways of working.
This role offers a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on transformation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Define and deliver a business-wide transformation strategy aligned to corporate objectives.
Assess current operating models, technology capabilities and organisational effectiveness.
Establish a prioritised portfolio of initiatives that drive sustainable business improvement.
Build alignment across leadership teams around future-state operating models and change programmes.
Develop a modern data strategy to improve governance, reporting and accessibility.
Drive greater value from operational and customer data.
Enhance management information and decision-making capabilities.
Support the adoption of advanced analytics, automation and AI-driven solutions.
Review existing applications, systems and technology architecture.
Create a roadmap for platform enhancement, rationalisation and modernisation.
Support the evolution of digital capabilities while maximising existing investments.
Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead teams across technology, change, infrastructure and support functions.
Develop trusted relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Communicate complex business and technology concepts in a clear and commercial manner.
Provide constructive challenge to suppliers, partners and internal teams where required.
Demonstrable experience leading complex transformation programmes within insurance or insurance services environments.
Strong knowledge of claims operations, delegated authority, TPA, loss adjusting or related service-led insurance businesses.
Track record of delivering successful business, technology and data transformation initiatives.
Experience developing strategic roadmaps and leading large-scale organisational change.
