nJOB SUMMARY: Assist and support all staff in the education of children.
nQUALIFICATIONS:
nnnHigh School Diploma or GED
n
nnAbility to relate to all children regardless of needs and/or abilities

nnPossess collaborative and interpersonal skills.

n nSuccessful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test will be required upon offer.

nnnAssists in the supervision of students in the classroom and other areas of the school facility. This may include:
n
nnbus arrival/dismissal
n
nnlunch and/or recess
n
nnschool related activities/field trips during contracted hours
n
nnemergency drills/situations
n
nnAssists staff in preparation of materials. This may include:
n
nnReproducing and preparing materials and equipment used in the classroom
n
nnCorrecting papers, workbooks, and tests
n
nnCreating and preparing materials for bulletin boards
n
nnWorks with group or individual students in the daily routine of the classroom under the teacher’s direction. This may include:
n
nnAssisting teacher with classroom management and/or implementation of behavioral management plan(s)
n
nnAssisting students with homework, tests, and/or seat work
n
nnAssisting students with technology (audio visual, computer, adaptive educational equipment
n
nnMaintaining records for individual students
n
nnReports relevant matters to the building administrator(s) or designee
n
nnKeeps teacher(s) informed of all relevant student-related matters
n
nnAssists the office staff when needed
n
nnRecords attendance and lunch count at beginning of each kindergarten class and reports information to the office
n
nnAssists in the integration of special education students in the regular classroom
n
nnAssists any student as need arises or as requested
n
nnProvides relevant/requested information for development and implementation of IEP’s for individual students
n
nnMaintains working knowledge and use of available technology
n
nnMaintains appropriate health and safety standards
n
nnDuties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor may vary from time to time
n
n nWork Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
