nEssential Functions:
nPerforms personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):
nPersonal Hygiene
nAmbulation/Transfers
nDressing/Shaving
nPrepares meals and snacks according to instructions
nAccompany patient on errands or medical appointments
nPerforms housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
nPerforms patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):
nProviding hospice supportive care
nMedication reminders
nAssisting with exercises
nIncontinence care
nUse lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
nPreferred Experience in:
nHoyer lift
nPersonal care
nRange of Motion Exercises
nCompanionship
nLight cleaning
nRequirements:
nCNA license or HHA Certificate (HHAs - Must have badge from Palm Beach County - no exceptions!)
nValid Driver License or State Photo ID
nSecond form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)
nAuto Insurance
nVehicle Registration
nCPR Card (cannot be an online class)
nTB or Chest X-ray
nLevel 2 Fingerprint Background check
nAlzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU
n1 letter of recommendation
