Industrial ElectricianThe Plant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA soybean processing facility. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge's employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.Schedules: Some will be on a 12-hour rotating shift, and some will be on a Monday through Friday shift. 12-hour rotating shifts: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am. Overtime, call-out availability, weekends/holidays, and an on-call rotation are required. Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pmPlant Electrician Starting Pay: $31.93 an hour Master Electrician Starting Pay: $41.98 an hour Bunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.What You'll Be Doing:Responsible for plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 480VAC or less)Perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wiresFollow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematicsInspect for conformity to industry standards or specificationsTroubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systemsTroubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipmentMaintain electrical switchgearLay out and install conduitWorking knowledge of thermographyOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Good written and verbal communicationAbility to work in a team environment and maintain good working relationships with other personnelAbility to work in a safety conscious and highly quality controlled environmentPreferred Qualifications:3 years of industrial electrical experienceAssociate degree and/or technical certificationPLC experienceHVAC experienceAt Bunge, our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
