Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Entry ControlAs a Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Entry Control in Ridgeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government juvenile services location, you will help manage entry points, verify access, monitor activity, and support a secure, professional environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related information. This driving position offers the opportunity to join Allied Universal's caring, reliable team, where integrity and teamwork guide every shift.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $17.00 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Fri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth, and authorized personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government juvenile services location.Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to established facility procedures.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate facility personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.Control access to restricted areas, receive and document deliveries, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to designated personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.Meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.Customer service experience is preferred.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positionsSchedules that fit with your personal life goalsOngoing paid training programs and career growth opportunitiesEmployee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues and much more…Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
