nJob Purpose:
nThis King Air Pilot - Mechanic role exists to provide single-pilot/mechanic expertise at Bridgewater Airpark in Bridgewater, VA to meet company requirements and customer needs. Candidates would begin as a mechanic and transfer into a Pilot/Mechanic dual role.
nDuties:
nnnPilot the King Air as a single pilot Captain in a safe and professional way
n
nnFunction as Pilot Mechanic in Command making safe decisions to complete the work
n
nnFly accurately in relation to dispersal criteria
n
nnOffer constructive input to the function of the base in areas of flight
n
nnTake personal responsibility for record keeping
n
nnComplete daily, weekly or monthly reports (maintenance records, timesheets, etc.) accurately and on time
n
nnFollow directions and remain on task
n
nnCommunicate with the customer and pilots about aircraft issues
n
nnDisassemble and clean aircraft components/parts
n
nnOrganize and maintain shop floor/environment from clutter or debris
n
nnPerform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance
n
nnInspect aircraft and systems
n
nnRead and understand maintenance manuals and understand requirements
n
nnTroubleshoot and repair systems
n
nnOther duties as assigned
n
n nSkills/Qualifications:
nnnFAA Commercial / Instrument / Multi-Engine license
n
nnA minimum of 1200 hours total flight time (multi-engine turboprop preferred)
n
nnAbility to qualify single pilot and work in a multi-crew environment
n
nnFAA A&P maintenance certificate (preferred)
n
nnRelocation to Bridgewater, VA
n
nnAbility to work as a team member
n
nnFluency in Spanish (preferred)
n
nnHigh school education required
n
nnExperience with PT6 engines, specifically King Air 90 preferred
n
nnPrior mechanical experience
n
nnTechnical aptitude
n
nnMust provide own tools (tools listing to be provided)
n
nnAbility to:
n
nnCrawl in and out of tight spaces
n
nnComfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time
n
nnLift, balance and carry 50 lbs.
n
nnWork in exterior weather conditions
n
nnWork in close proximity to other people
n
n nJob Experience: Experience working with hands, repairing machines, troubleshooting, maintaining, and inspecting all aircraft systems including electrical, sheet metal, general airframe and power plant.
nPrior cross-cultural and foreign language experience preferred.
nPay Band: Certified Mechanic- $27.16 - $40.36 per hour. Uncertified Mechanic- $22.40 - $37.545 per hour. Starting pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity, and typically falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
