Shift: 1st Shift 8:00 AM Start
Schedule: May require some evening or overnight hours based on project needs

Description:
Job Summary
Support research scientists at an R&D center by conducting food-grade pilot trials, laboratory experiments, routine analysis, and microbiological testing. The role also supports equipment maintenance, research projects, and EHS and food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support research scientists with research projects and activities.
Conduct pilot fermentation trials and routine laboratory experiments.
Perform microbiological plating and sampling.
Execute designed experiments and troubleshoot issues during experimentation.
Perform routine laboratory analysis and accurately document results.
Organize and communicate research results to project teams.
Maintain pilot plant and laboratory equipment.
Follow corporate EHS, food safety, and laboratory safety requirements.
Collaborate effectively with research teams and support project activities.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree with interest in: Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Science, Related Science field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong teamwork, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to execute experiments, troubleshoot problems, and make corrections during testing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related Science field.
Experience with fermentation and general knowledge of fermentation biology.
6 months-2 years of experience in a food-grade pilot plant environment.
Hands-on experience with: Microbiology sampling, Sterile techniques, Fermentation principles and operations
Experience with downstream purification technologies, including: Chromatography, Centrifugation, Filtration, Membrane separation, Crystallization, Evaporation
