Job description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience of leading negotiations on land entitlements and infrastructure agreements on projects using a combination of internal and external resources.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field.

Experience managing greenfield land development, site selection, and real estate transactions for data centers or mission-critical facilities.

Experience in agreement drafting, redlining, and delivering presentations.

Expertise in project economics, risk management, financial modeling, budgeting, indirect taxes, and economic development policy.

Track record of collaborating with utility providers and local governments to secure power allocations, with an understanding of power transmission and data center technology.

As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.
