LEASING AGENT
Location: Salem, OR
PAY: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Availability between 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, depending on business needs
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to assist with leasing activities and day-to-day property operations. This position will work closely with the Property Manager, learning the property's operations while providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
Provide prospective tenants with information, brochures, and tours of available units and facilities.
Consult with prospective tenants to understand their needs and budgets and match them with available properties.
Ensure available and model apartments are clean, fresh, and ready for viewing.
Conduct background and credit checks and verify references as directed by the Leasing Manager.
Prepare leases for Leasing Manager review and approval and obtain required signatures.
Learn property operations and procedures from the Property Manager.
Provide administrative and operational support as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Provide excellent customer service throughout the leasing process.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous property management experience required.
Outgoing, friendly personality with the ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and sales skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
QuickBooks proficiency preferred.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
High school diploma required; some college preferred.
Must be able to walk throughout the property and climb stairs as needed.
Ability to work independently while supporting the Property Manager and leasing team.
