Job description
Licensed Independent Social Worker
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker with a strong background in mental health to provide assessment, counseling, and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various mental health issues, therapeutic interventions, and a passion for improving the well-being of those in need.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health needs, strengths, and challenges.
Counseling and Therapy: Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients dealing with mental health issues, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' goals and support their recovery process.
Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and appropriate interventions to ensure client safety.
Advocacy: Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system and community resources, ensuring they receive the best care and support available.
Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to provide holistic care and support to clients.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Education and Prevention: Offer educational programs and workshops to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote prevention strategies.
Ethical Conduct: Adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling and therapy.
Strong knowledge of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.
