Role Overview
Apply life sciences expertise and hands-on Python skills to create, solve, and review rigorous research problems that help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. This remote contract role supports work across biology and related scientific disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Create and solve technically rigorous scientific problems within your area of expertise.
Develop reproducible Python analyses, models, simulations, and data-processing workflows.
Analyze scientific data, validate computational results, and identify errors in technical reasoning or code.
Review scientific solutions and code for correctness, clarity, and completeness.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in one or more relevant areas, including medicine and biomedical science, computational biology, neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, genetics and genomics, ecology and evolutionary biology, biostatistics, or biological data science.
Python proficiency for scientific computing, data analysis, modeling, or simulation.
Experience with tools such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, Jupyter, or relevant domain-specific libraries.
A PhD, MD, or master''s degree with substantial relevant research experience is preferred.
Scientific or applied research accomplishments demonstrated through publications, thesis work, computational projects, industry research, or equivalent work.
Relevant skills may also include biology, medicine, materials, neuroscience, and astronomy.
Work Terms
Global, fully remote independent-contractor engagement.
Approximately 15 hours per week.
Flexible schedule, choose your working days and hours, including weekends if preferred.
Roles are typically filled within 48 hours. Selected candidates should be ready to begin their first task within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
Compensation
$60 to $120 per hour.
Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications.
Task completion time varies by experience and workflow, and minimum submission requirements apply.
