MHS is seeking a junior associate to join the firm’s Sacramento office, which primarily handles wage and hour class actions. Candidates with some wage and hour litigation experience are preferred, but others will also be considered. Junior associates work collaboratively with more senior attorneys in defense of cases and will be provided training, oversight, and mentorship. Successful candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills and a work ethic that involves ownership of assigned cases and the initiative to drive them forward.
In addition to exposure to wage and hour class actions, junior associates generally have the opportunity to work on other labor and employment matters as well, including single plaintiff cases, labor matters, and administrative agency matters.

Qualifications
1-4 years of litigation experience, with labor and employment and wage and hour class action experience a strong plus
Active California State Bar admission
JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong research skills
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
