Overview:
Seeking an experienced PA/NP for a locum cardiology opportunity in an inpatient ICU and step-down setting. This is a high-impact role supporting adult patient care with strong procedural exposure.
Position Details:
Location: Syracuse, NY
Dates of Coverage: June 1 - October 2
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Day/Evening shifts)
Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week (up to 50 as needed)
Setting: Inpatient ICU & Step-down
Patient Volume: Up to 10 notes per day + phone coverage for inpatients
Patient Demographics: Adult
EMR: EPIC
Autonomy: Yes (with supervising and critical care physicians available onsite)
Procedures: Central line placement
Arterial line placement
Chest tube placement
Chest tube removal
Wound VAC changes
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 6 weeks
Candidate Requirements: AANP Certification - Required
Active NY License - Required
ACLS - Required
ICU experience - Required (No new grads)
EPIC experience - Required
