Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Council Bluffs, IA Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling in a busy emergency department with a moderate annual patient volume and a collaborative clinical environment. Position Highlights Schedule: 4–12 shifts per month Shift Length: 8 hours Available Shifts: 6:30 AM–2:30 PM 1:30 PM–10:30 PM 9:30 PM–6:30 AM Annual ED Volume: Approximately 22,000 patients EMR: Epic Dictation: Dragon Scribes: None Patient Volume & Acuity Approximately 77% discharge rate Approximately 14% admission rate Approximately 4% left before treatment complete Approximately 2.8% observation Approximately 2.5% transfer Responsibilities Provide routine emergency medicine care to patients of varying acuity Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department Respond to codes and other emergent situations Perform appropriate emergency procedures and interventions Collaborate with nursing staff, consultants, and other members of the healthcare team Locums physicians will have limited trauma responsibilities Complete accurate and timely documentation using Epic and Dragon Requirements Active Iowa medical license Active DEA Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications Emergency Medicine experience required614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
