Quick Facts Location: Paducah, KY Start Date: 09/20/2026 End Date/Duration: Nov 25-29, with ongoing potential Shift: 7 am - 7 am (On-call coverage required) Hours/week: Full-time hours with in-house call Employment Type: Locum License/Certs: KY medical license or willingness to obtain Experience: Previous OB/GYN inpatient experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $0.00 (Pay package discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide inpatient OB/GYN care, including routine and complicated deliveries Perform vaginal deliveries, low-forceps, and decision-making for C-sections Manage complex cases such as breech, transverse, multiple births, and abruptions Conduct VBACs and repair of 3rd & 4th-degree lacerations Participate in on-call coverage for GYN emergencies Collaborate with midwives for patient care and deliveries Utilize hospital EMR systems (EPIC) for documentation What You Need Active KY medical license or willingness to obtain At least 1 year of OB/GYN inpatient experience preferred Competence in delivering both routine and complicated deliveries Ability to manage emergency obstetric situations Strong communication skills and team collaboration Preferred Experience with inpatient hospital-based OB/GYN care Knowledge of EPIC EMR About the Assignment Bon Secours Mercy Health's Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY, is seeking a locum OB/GYN to provide inpatient on-call coverage. The facility boasts onsite labs and ultrasound, Level II nursery, and a low volume of C-section patients, delivering approximately 700-800 babies annually. Midwives will take call and deliver their own patients, contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on high-quality patient care.
