Doctor of Medicine | Pulmonology Location: Ketchikan, AK Employer: HPA Healthcare Pay: $250 per hour Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Description HPA Healthcare is seeking a Pulmonologist for an outpatient locum tenens opportunity in Ketchikan, Alaska , beginning November 1, 2026. The initial assignment runs through January 30, 2027 , with the possibility of continued intermittent coverage for approximately six months. The physician will initially provide approximately one week of coverage per month, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Coverage may eventually decrease to one week every other month or quarterly. This position offers an attractive lifestyle-oriented schedule with no call, no inpatient rounding, no admissions, and no required procedures . Candidates must already possess an active Alaska medical license and be proficient with Epic. Assignment Highlights Start Date: 11/01/2026 End Date: 01/30/2027 Initial Duration: 13 weeks Expected Overall Need: Approximately 6 months FTE: 0.25 Initial Coverage: Approximately 1 week/month Future Coverage: May decrease to 1 week every other month or quarterly Schedule: Monday–Friday Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Standard Shift: 8 hours Setting: Outpatient pulmonary clinic Call: None Rounding: None Admissions: None Procedures: None required Patients: Approximately 14–16/day Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics EMR: Epic – proficiency required Solo Coverage: Yes Orientation: 8 hours, non-billable Alaska License: Active license required at presentation614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
