Job description
We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a site in San Antonio, Texas. Coverage is expected to begin November 1, with the site building its staffing team entirely through locum tenens providers.
Position Details
• Schedule: 24-hour shifts available
• Patient Volume: Approximately 12 patients per 24-hour period
• Coverage: Locum tenens staffing
• Start Date: November 1, 2026
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Provide emergency medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers or admissions when needed.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support safe, effective patient care.
Requirements
• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Texas medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
