Role Description The Marine Product Line Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Somerset, NJ. This role is responsible for managing the marine product portfolio, including strategy, pricing, positioning, and lifecycle planning for engines, propulsion systems, and related components. Day-to-day activities include conducting market and competitive analysis, collaborating with sales and marketing on go-to-market initiatives, and coordinating with engineering and R&D on product enhancements and new offerings. The Marine Product Line Manager works closely with operations, service, and parts teams to ensure product availability, performance, and customer satisfaction, and supports key customer accounts with technical product guidance. The role also involves monitoring financial performance of product lines, preparing reports and forecasts, and recommending actions to drive growth and profitability.
Qualifications
Product lifecycle management and product management skills, including planning, launch, optimization, and retirement of marine product lines.
Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, financial metrics, and customer feedback, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Sales and customer-facing skills to support the sales team, engage with dealers and OEMs, and help drive revenue and margin growth.
Experience collaborating with research and development (R&D), engineering, and service teams to guide product improvements and new product development.
Knowledge of marine or industrial power systems (engines, propulsion, power generation) or related technical products.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Proficiency with standard business and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, CRM, ERP, or BI platforms). xzgxqkn
Ability to work on-site in Somerset, NJ and occasionally travel to customers, vendors, and industry events.
