Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project entering startup. As Mechanical Commissioning Engineer you are the owner's witness and technical judgement on the mechanical systems: inlet air, fuel gas, lube oil, water treatment, fire protection, HVAC and the mechanical balance of plant.
What you get to do:
Review mechanical commissioning procedures before execution.
Witness flushing, cleaning, leak testing and functional testing.
Track system readiness through to turnover.
Drive resolution of mechanical startup issues with the contractor and vendors.
Verify preservation is maintained through the commissioning period.
Support performance testing of mechanical systems.
What you bring to the role:
10+ years commissioning mechanical systems on power or process plants.
Hands-on experience with lube oil flushing and rotating equipment startup.
Working knowledge of ASME codes.
Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent years of field experience.
Nice to have:
Owner-side commissioning experience.
OSHA 30 — provided by the project after mobilization if you do not already hold it.
