Medical Hospital Based Billing Specialist - AcuteSRMC Has an Exciting Opportunity for Qualified Candidates!Position: FT Medical Hospital Based Billing Specialist - AcuteDepartment: Patient AccountingShift: Mon-Fri, 8 hr day shiftPURPOSESeeking a candidate who is highly analytical and detail oriented to optimize our hospital-based reimbursement cycle. You will own end-to-end institutional billing workflow; manage Medicare submissions, daily clearinghouse edits, and complex insurance denials within our EMR system. We are looking for a proactive professional dedicated to resolving account checks, executing strategic appeals, and accelerating payment collection to maintain our clinical network's financial health.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required.1-3 years hospital based billing experience.Complete understanding of EOBs, modifiers, Claims Adj/Reason Code Adj, Insurance processes & insurance website usageMust be comfortable navigating a high-volume workload and meeting timely filing deadlinesStrong Computer skills.Knowledgeable in CPT and ICD-10 coding.Familiarity with medical terminology.Knowledge of additional specialized function may be required such as third party payers, hospital & physician billing processes, CPT4/ICD10 code applicationAbility to communicate with various insurance payers and other hospital departments.Experience in filing claim appeals with insurance companies to ensure maximum reimbursement.Responsible use of confidential information.Strong written, verbal, and argumentative skills when dealing with insurance carriers.Ability to multi-task.BENEFITS· Competitive wages· Medical/prescription insurance· Dental insurance· Vision insurance· Accident and critical insurance· Employer paid life insurance· 403 (b) retirement with employer matching· Tuition reimbursement· Continuing education reimbursement· Cafeteria discounts· Employee Assistance Program
