Power Engineering Services Job PostingPower Engineering Services, a NETA-accredited electrical testing and commissioning firm and a Quanta Services operating company, is actively recruiting experienced Medium Voltage Cable Splicers and Terminators to support large-scale data center infrastructure buildout across multiple active West Texas project sites. This is a hands-on craft position working directly on 35 kV medium voltage cable systems in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment alongside a high-performing commissioning and construction team.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare, splice, and terminate 5 kV, 15 kV, and 35 kV medium voltage cable in accordance with manufacturer instructions, project specifications, and company safety requirementsPerform hands on cable preparation, insulation prep, semi con removal, grounding, shielding, stress control, lug installation, and final termination assemblyInstall and work with outdoor terminations, indoor cold shrink terminations, standard dead break connections, screened separable connectors, and coupling connectorsRead one line diagrams, cable schedules, termination details, and manufacturer installation instructionsVerify phase identification, conductor identification, shielding continuity, grounding, and cable routing before energizationSupport insulation resistance, continuity, phasing, and other pre commissioning checks as directedMaintain clean work areas, protect cable and termination materials, and document completed workFollow all LOTO, PPE, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site specific safety proceduresCoordinate with construction, testing, and commissioning teams to complete work safely and on scheduleRequired QualificationsFive or more years of experience installing, splicing, and terminating medium voltage cable, preferably through 35 kVDemonstrated experience with cold shrink terminations and dead break or separable connector systemsExperience with shielded EPR or XLPE medium voltage cable, including copper tape or wire shielded cableAbility to work from drawings, cable schedules, and manufacturer instructions without constant supervisionStrong safety record and reliable attendanceAbility to work outdoors in West Texas conditions, including heat, wind, dust, and extended hours as requiredValid driver's license and ability to travel or work overtime as neededWhat You'll Get401(k) with immediate matching and vestingFully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, Vision including your choice of PPO, HSA, FSAShort term and long term benefitsEmployee discounts on consumer goodsEqual Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
