With over 2,400 employees in facilities throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America, our unique combination of creativity and tenacity activates big ideas on a global stage.The Model Maker II will work with various composite and 3D printed materials and maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition. The Model Maker II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members.As a Model Maker II, you will be responsible for:Surfacing and fitting components for dimensionally accurate assembliesPerforming body work, priming, and painting with various methodsUsing blueprints, drawings, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and verbal directions to create models according to established specificationsUsing precision measuring instrumentsLaminating with epoxy resins and carbon compositesOperating shop equipment, including bridgeport, lathe, and MIG welder, and performing preventive maintenanceInterfacing with engineering and cross functional teams to meet product requirements and customer acceptanceNotifying appropriate personnel of problems or potential problems related to machine operationParticipating in daily shop organization and clean-upTo be considered as a Model Maker II, you will need:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 4 years of experience in prototypingMechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipmentGood attention to detail and organizational skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamHas own tools with toolboxAbility to read, comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions.A successful candidate may also have:Certificate in Autobody, Automotive Technology or related fieldValid driver's licenseAbility to work overtime as needed including weekendsOur full-time benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, earned sick time, STD, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and more.If you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.Roush is an EO employer – Veterans/Disabled and other protected categoriesIf you need a reasonable accommodation for our employment application process due to disability, please contact Roush Talent Acquisition at .
