NC/CNC Machine Set-Up & Operate - 1st ShiftStrivector Corp is a National Recruiting and Staffing agency established in 2012 and headquartered in Austin, Texas. Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.Position OverviewSet up and operate a variety of NC/CNC and manual machine shop equipment.Perform machining operations on lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and other equipment.Select appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds based on material and finish requirements.Machine steel, iron, brass, bronze, and aluminum components.Read blueprints, determine machining sequences, and hold close tolerances.Build and assemble jigs and fixtures.Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM)QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Minimum 2 years of NC/CNC machine setup and operation experience.Experience operating manual and CNC machine shop equipment.Ability to work with precision measurements and close tolerances.Must live within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY (Active-Duty Military exempt).No visa sponsorship available.Preferred SkillsBlueprint reading.GD&T and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).Experience with machining fixtures and tooling.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
