Job description
Meta is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Foundation and Support team, focused on the deployment, operations, and lifecycle management of enterprise network services (ENS) that underpin Meta's site infrastructure. In this role, you will plan, deploy, and operationalize network systems that support Meta's physical sites globally, ensuring reliable connectivity and service continuity across campus and facility environments. You will drive incident response, change management, and cross-functional collaboration with vendors and internal teams, while leveraging AIOps and automation to enhance network reliability and operational efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience leading incident response and troubleshooting for network outages in enterprise environments
6+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise network deployment, operations, and site services infrastructure
Experience coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams including facilities, site operations, and infrastructure engineering
6+ years of experience designing, deploying, and operating LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments at scale across multiple physical sites
Experience with network configuration and provisioning automation using scripting languages such as Python or Ansible Industry certifications in network engineering such CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent demonstrating depth in enterprise networking technologies
Experience with AIOps platforms, network observability tooling, and automation frameworks used to enhance operational efficiency and incident detection
Experience deploying enterprise network services in large-scale campus or data center environments, including structured cabling, access switching, and wireless access point infrastructure
Experience developing or refining network automation pipelines that reduce manual provisioning effort and configuration drift
Experience with change management processes and ITSM tools for network infrastructure updates
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
