Job description
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant with a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry to join our outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment program.
nThis position is ideal for a psychiatric provider seeking a flexible, low-commitment opportunity while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.
nResponsibilities
nConduct psychiatric and medical evaluations
nComplete required physical examinations and medical clearances
nReview laboratory and diagnostic testing
nAssess patients for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when clinically indicated
nEvaluate, diagnose, and manage co-occurring psychiatric conditions
nCollaborate with counselors, therapists, and treatment staff in a multidisciplinary setting
nMaintain timely and compliant clinical documentation
nPractice under the supervision and clinical guidance of the Program Medical Director, with consultation available as needed
nSchedule
nApproximately 1 hour per day on average
nFlexible scheduling
nAdditional patient visits by appointment as needed
nHybrid, telehealth, or in-person arrangements may be available depending on program needs
nQualifications
nCurrent Illinois licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant with CAQ-Psychiatry
nActive DEA registration with Schedule III prescribing authority
nEligible to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder
nExperience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), or behavioral health preferred
nStrong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care
nAbility to work collaboratively under established protocols and Medical Director oversight
nCompensation
nCompetitive hourly or per-appointment compensation
