Your Responsibilities
Performing detailed patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans
Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in collaboration with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
Providing education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
Prescribing medications and therapies in line with your professional scope
Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management practices
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to assure holistic and seamless patient care
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Essential Education
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certification Requirements
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Wisconsin
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a specialization equivalent
Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or ability to achieve these within 90 days)
