Nursing AssistantSanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America's heartland.Facility: Bismarck Med CtrLocation: Bismarck, NDShift: 12 Hours - Night ShiftsJob Schedule: Full timeWeekly Hours: 36.00Salary Range: $16.50 - $24.00$5,000 sign on bonus available to eligible candidates!Department DetailsPosition is for 12 hour night shifts from 6pm - 6:30am working every 3rd weekend.+$2.50/hr straight nights shift differential.Fast paced job with a focus on teamwork.Treat neuro medical and neurosurgery patients as well as a mix of a variety of general Med-Surg patients.Job SummaryThe Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The NA provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs. Administer delegated tasks and treatments. Record vital statistics and other basic health information. Will collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed. Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare. Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy. Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms. When necessary for safe provision of care, employee will provide one on one care to patients.QualificationsHigh school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. If working in North Dakota (ND) or Minnesota (MN) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the NA Registry as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Dept. of Health or through the Minnesota Dept. of Health within four months from the date of hire. If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.Sanford offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
