nApply now and help us continue to raise the bar in patient care! We are looking for a Compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our Level 12 Neurotrauma Unit at St Mary's Medical Center!
nEducation Qualifications:
nMust meet one of the following requirements:
nnn6 months of nursing assistant experience
n
nnCompletion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
n
nnEnrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire
n
nnVerifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
n
nnCurrent registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
n
n nThis position MUST be able to work the following:
nnn48 hours every two weeks
n
nnEvery other weekend
n
nnRotating 8 Hour Shifts
n
nnDay Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
n
nnEvening Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm
n
nnNight Shift: 10pm - 6:30am
n
n nAs a Nursing Assistant, you are responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.
nDuties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to:
nnnProviding personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs
n
nnProviding comfort care and other assistance
n
nnAppropriately and safely transferring patients
n
nnTaking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
n
nnRecognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
n
nnMaintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.
n
n nQualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $1,500

nLicensure/Certification Qualifications:
nBLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
nIf qualified through the Essentia Health Foundation Course East Market (Excluding WI):
nnCompletion of Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation course within 90 days of hire
