Ambercare Homecare is looking for a certified occupational therapist assistant to come join our rapidly growing team in Belen, NM.Position details:Full-timeMonday through Friday8am to 5pmBelen, Valencia County, SocorroWe offer:Great culture and team atmosphereComprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, disability)401(k) retirement plan with a generous company matchGenerous time off accrualsPaid holidaysMileage reimbursementTuition reimbursementEmployee referral programMerit increasesEmployee discount programsWork/life balanceWhat you'll do:Communicate clients' status, changes in condition, changes in care plan and needs to family members, staff and other professionalsMaintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and be flexible to meet the needs of the departmentPerform all occupational therapy procedures planned and delegated as prescribed by the provider in the client's place of residence as instructed and supervised by the qualified occupational therapistAssist clients to and from treatment or training areas and instruct client in pushing wheelchair, supporting or lifting and positioning in and out of bedAssist client with slings, splints and self-help devices to obtain physical independenceObserve client for signs of distress and adjust activities accordinglyMaintain accurate clinical records, keeping track of goals and progress of clientsQualifications:Certified as an occupational therapy assistant by AOTA, American Occupational Therapy AssociationCurrent licensure as an occupational therapist assistant in the state of practice1 year of occupational therapy assistant experience (preferred)Must be willing to travel within local geographic areaComplies and maintains current CPR certificationMust have reliable transportation, current driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance
