Order Puller - 8a-4:30p1st shift Order Puller (Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm) needed in our state-of-the-art environmentally controlled very clean facility in South Bend, IN. The Order Puller is responsible for the pulling/picking of parts throughout the warehouse while adhering to departmental processes and procedures. Dependents can be added, but a premium will apply.Qualifications:0 - 1 years of Order Pulling experiencePrior order pulling experience in a fast-paced environmentBasic math and counting skillsReceptive to cross-training in other areas of warehouse or receivingSelf-motivatedDetail-orientedStrive to achieve established order pulling metricsMust be a team playerQuality focused with a high emphasis on accuracyHigh School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.Technical and/or Managerial Job Competencies – (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)Basic ability to read and interpret Pick Suggestions and Work Orders Kit List with regards to warehouse locations.Basic understanding of PEI Quality Policy, FOD, and AS9100 Overview.Basic understanding of FIFO (First In – First Out) practicesKnowledge of Product Identification and lot traceability as it pertains to order pullingOperation of order puller scannerAchieve effective level in primary position as defined in Skills MatrixEssential Tasks and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)Pulling parts from Pick Suggestions and Work OrdersConfirming Work Orders or pulled part accuracyEnsure that Work Instructions are being followed and all processes are being metEnsure that all Pick Suggestions and Work Orders are being completed within the allotted time by Management.Ability to utilize weigh scale in the counting of partsRead, understand, and complete all Shipping Department documentation and work instructions to the PEI-Genesis, ISO9001, and AS9100 standard.Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.Stock order pulling cart with required materials to perform job.Physical DemandsManual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.Work EnvironmentClimate controlledWell litChairs and/or mats at work stationsSome use of approved chemicalsPEI Genesis is an EEO employer/Vets/Disabled.
