Job Description

Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Understand individual patients' challenges and create personalized therapy strategies to help achieve their functional aims

Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based interventions to boost patients' motor functions, cognitive abilities, and daily living skills

Collaborate with Multi-disciplinary Teams: Partner with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, medical doctors, and nursing staff to provide thorough and well-rounded patient care

Educate Patients and Their Families: Teach patients and their loved ones therapy methods to foster progress in everyday settings

Monitor Progress and Outcomes: Keep track of patient growth and amend treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that progress remains on track

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Encouragement for ongoing education or additional certifications post-graduation

Certifications

Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) licensure

NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification essential

Skills

A genuine passion for assisting others in achieving their maximum independence

Excellent, empathetic communication skills with both patients and fellow team members

Ability to creatively adapt treatment plans to suit varying patient needs

Strong capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a close-knit, interdisciplinary team
