Paint Prep TechnicianAs a Paint Prep Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every vehicle meets CarMax's quality standards for quality and appearance. In this fast-paced, hands-on environment, you'll prepare and recondition vehicles so they meet CarMax quality standards. Whether you're advancing your career or growing your skillset, we are here to drive you forward.Role ResponsibilitiesPerform expert paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing, and buffing to restore vehicles to CarMax quality standardsExecute dent repair, masking, sanding, and grinding for bodywork repairsRepair or replace small plastic and trim components to ensure full functionalityCollaborate with team members to meet production goals and deliver exceptional resultsFollow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.Required QualificationsHands-on experience in masking, sanding, grinding, and applying automotive paintStrong manual dexterity and physical stamina, including ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periodsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipValid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles safelyAt CarMax, we revolutionized the used car buying experience over 30 years ago by introducing transparency and integrity into the process.
