Auxiliary Compensation PlanCompensation Plans Auxiliary Compensation Plan Pay Grade: PG4 $20.00-$28.20 Shift Type: Full-Time Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Paint Supervisor EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possiblePrimary PurposeTo aid in maintaining all facilities, entities, and related projects that need painting.QualificationsEducation/Certification: High School Diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Demonstrate working knowledge of various aspects of painting and related repairs, including different types of working media and appropriate use thereofKnowledge of the use and care of appropriate equipmentAbility to prioritize and organize work orders and scheduling to facilitate that such alterations and repairs are with safety and expedience not to obstruct a minimum of district activities.Experience:Working knowledge of painting and associated skills, with hands on experience.Major Responsibilities and DutiesApplying paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.Maintain, repair, and/or replace all internal and external parts of district facilities which are related to paintingMix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.Assist other painters with painting needs related to equipment/projects.Maintain sufficient inventory of needed supplies and equipment.Maintain materials records per facility.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneWorking ConditionsMental Demands: Comprehending simple instructions both written and verbal Writing simple correspondence Reading blue prints / manuals / work ordersPhysical demands/environmental factors: Lifting and carrying items in excess of 50 pounds Stooping, bending, kneeling, and standing Vision corrected in order to read labels and do detail work Exposure to weather extremes of hot and cold Exposure to material fumes and particles Moderate to loud noise in work environment
