Endoscopy Patient Care Technician (PCT)Join our team as a day-shift, full-time Endoscopy Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Albuquerque, NM.Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare BetterThrive: We empower our team with career growth opportunities, tuition assistance, and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being.People-First: We prioritize your well-being with paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for.Make Healthcare Better: We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care.Get to Know Your Team:Lovelace Women's Hospital has 173 licensed beds, including a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, a family care unit, an award-winning breast care center, and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:ResponsibilitiesWorks under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.Observes patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.Additionally, this position measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.QualificationsJob Requirements:High school diploma or GED.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements:Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course.Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.Knowledge of medical terminology.2 year’s experience in acute or long-term care.Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification, which includes BLS, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
