Payroll AnalystPayroll Analyst responsibilities include reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuraciesPrepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and garnishmentsAnalyze compensation-related data including wages and bonusesOversee payroll transactionsConduct regular audits on payroll procedures and recordsProcess benefit costs, like insurance fees and sick leavesDesign, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processesManage payment calendars for the fiscal yearReport to management on payroll issues and changesAnswer employees' questions about salaries and taxStay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax lawsManage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions will be processed accurately and timelyPerform other duties and special projects as requestedMinimum QualificationsProven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator or similar roleKnowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulationsHands-on experience with payroll softwareFamiliarity using Excel and spreadsheetsExcellent analytical skillsThe ability to work under tight deadlinesPreferred QualificationsBS in Human Resources Management, Accounting or relevant fieldPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machinePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbsThis role requires regular, ongoing in?office presence.
