nThis is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
nHow you’ll make an impact in this role
nnnJoin an established team of physicians and nurse practitioner support
n
nnCall structure: 1 week once every 3 weeks (averaging 1-2 phone calls per night)
n
nnPractice setting: Inpatient / Outpatient mix
n
nnAccess to Athena (clinic) and Sunrise Clinical Manager (inpatient) EMR, 10 exam rooms, specialized subspecialty clinics (pre-diabetes, metabolic bone, and lipid), and robust triage nurse support
n
nnEmployed position within a nonprofit health system
n
nnBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
n
nnEligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
n
nnProvide high-quality endocrine care across outpatient, inpatient, and new patient populations, including conducting hospital consultations and assisting with specialized pre-diabetes, lipid, or metabolic bone clinics.
n
nnCollaborate with and provide clinical oversight to an experienced support team, including nurse practitioners and triage nurses, while having the flexibility to expand and explore personal pediatric endocrinology clinical interests.
n
nnFellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology required

n nAbout the Facility
nnn197-bed pediatric facility (including 40 private inpatient beds, 8 short-stay beds, 23 PICU beds, 17 Pediatric ED beds, and a 109-bed Level IV NICU)
n
nnTrauma designation (Pediatric Trauma services available onsite)

nnServing a population of approximately 2 million in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area

nWhat minimum requirements you’ll need
nLicensure / Certification / Registration:
nnnPhysician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
n
nnAdvanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
n
n nEducation:
nnDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
