Job description
A prominent 500-bed hospital in the York, PA area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support their inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment with an ASAP start and a duration of approximately 13 weeks or longer.
Location: York, PA
Schedule:
Variable days and afternoon shifts
Key Responsibilities: Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
Consult with physicians regarding medication therapies and patient care
Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize drug dosing and administration
Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations
Desired Qualifications and Experience: Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly preferred
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
