Key Responsibilities:

Supports and implements the practice mission and strategic vision within their respective departments.

Handles confidential information requiring professional discretion and compliance with protected health information, data integrity, and security policies.

Reviews prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.

Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.

Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.

Consults patients, answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.

Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.

Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.

Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.

Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Maintain all pharmacy records required by the state, federal, and company mandated.

Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree Required | Current Nebraska Pharmacy License (State Registry In Good Standing) Required | Successful Completion of An Accredited Pharmacy Educational Institution Required | No Record of Alcohol, Drug-Related Misdemeanor or Felony Conviction | No Medicare or Medicaid Restrictions or Sanctions | Medical Terminology | Familiar With Pharmacy Software & EMR Systems | Familiar With Microsoft Platforms & Data Entry | Insurance Experience

Experience: One-Year Direct Pharmacist Experience In High-Volume Setting Preferred
