Schedule: varies from 7:30am-6pm
Location: Lake Success, NY
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (Possibility of extension)
Pay Range: $20/hr - $23/hr on W2
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties:
Perform routine venipuncture and capillary (finger-stick) blood collections for pediatric and adult patients.
Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers prior to specimen collection.
Identify correct specimen types, follow the order of draw, and ensure accurate labeling and handling of specimens.
Navigate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately with minimal errors.
Troubleshoot basic LIS issues and collaborate with the LIS support team when necessary.
