PHP Software Engineer – Direct Hire / Hybrid - 4833
Location: Atlanta GA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Permanent

What You’ll Do
Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.
Develop and maintain server-side logic and core databases.
Troubleshoot and resolve PHP application issues.
Refactor, optimize, and scale existing applications.
Integrate front-end elements with back-end logic.
Participate in full SDLC activities including code reviews and launches.
Document features, architecture, and technical decisions.
Collaborate closely with front-end developers and full-stack engineers.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in PHP.
At least 1 year of experience with Laravel.
Solid experience with MySQL and working in a Linux environment.
Familiarity with version control (Git).
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Stand-Out Skills
Ability to solve complex performance and architectural challenges.
Experience refactoring and optimizing legacy codebases.
Strong collaboration and problem-solving mindset.
Bonus Points
Experience with Agile principles.
Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.
Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
