nAt the Flatbush Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation center, patients receive comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a wide range of injuries resulting from car accidents, workplace incidents, slip-and-fall events, and other trauma. Board-certified physiatrists and licensed physical therapists deliver personalized care focused on improving function and managing pain.

nResponsibilities
nnnProvide quality care to patients by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians.

nnHelp patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises
n
nnInstruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing physical activities such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities, as well as using assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches and canes.
n
nnAdminister physical therapy treatments by giving massages, initiating traction, electrical muscle stimulation, moist hot packs, ice, and ultrasound; direct treatments given by aides and assistants.

nnEvaluate the effects of physical therapy treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommend adjustments and modifications.
n
nnAssure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs.
n
nnDocument patient care services by charting patient notes in E.H.R. system and/or written charts.
n
nnProtect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
n
nnExperience working in an outpatient musculo-skeletal practice preferred

nnAbility to communicate effectively with patients
n
n nQualifications
nnnLicensed Physical Therapist in New York State
n
nnStrong interpersonal and communication skills
n
nnPassion for helping patients recover and improve mobility
n
nnExperience with injury rehabilitation preferred
n
n nSalary:$94,000 annually
nSchedule:
nnnMonday: 8:30am- 5:30pm
n
nnTuesday: 8:30am- 8:00pm
n
nnWednesday: 8:30am- 7:00pm
n
nnThursday: 8:30am- 5:30pm
n
n nFull-Time/Part-Time Full-Time
nExempt/Non-Exempt Exempt
nPosition Requirements
nEducation and Training A valid New York and physical therapy license and registration
