Atlantic Health is Seeking a Physician Assistant for Atlantic Health Chilton Surgical Associates.
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to support Atlantic Health Chilton Surgical Associates located at 242 West Parkway, Pompton Plains, NJ. The PA will join a collaborative and growing multispecialty team. This position requires flexibility Monday-Friday.
As a surgery Physician Assistant, you will contribute to the provision of comprehensive patient care. This will include conducting thorough preoperative assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, assisting in surgical procedures under the guidance of attending surgeons, and managing postoperative care and patient recovery. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing thorough history and physical examinations, ordering and reviewing results of laboratory and radiology studies, prescribing and renewing medications, and developing and appropriately adjusting treatment plans.
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
ACLS and BLS certification required
Experience working in the OR preferred
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently

About The Team
Our hospitals are staffed by fellowship-trained, board-certified surgeons, anesthesiology specialists, nurses, care managers and other health care professionals who provide the most progressive surgical methods using the latest technology. This includes minimally invasive surgery programs that result in shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries. In addition, Morristown Medical Center is home to a state-of-the-art bio skills simulation laboratory that is accredited by the American College of Surgeons for additional staff training.
