Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $247 - $266/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
Provide outpatient cardiology services at 0.25 FTE, working 4-5 days per month, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
See an average of 14-16 adult and geriatric patients per day in a clinic/outpatient setting
Work independently as the sole cardiologist on site, supported by family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, general surgery, emergency department, and hospitalist teams
Maintain active Alaska (AK) medical license (MD/DO) at time of start
Maintain current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
Demonstrate proficiency in the Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
Provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements with no exemptions
Obtain and maintain appropriate clinical privileges (clinic privileges only; no rounding, admissions, or call required)
Comply with all credentialing and privileging requirements as determined by the client facility
