Locum OB/GYN Physician in Paducah, KY Immediate Start Join a leading facility in Paducah, KY, providing essential OB/GYN services in a supportive inpatient/hospital setting. Quick Facts Location: Paducah, KY (1530 Lone Oak Road) Start Date: 09/20/2026 Duration: Nov 25-29, with 6-7 shifts per month, potential for more Shift: 7 am 7 am (on-call coverage) Hours/week: Variable, based on schedule Employment Type: Locum Certifications: KY license, appropriate OB/GYN certifications Experience: Prior inpatient OB/GYN experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: Paid hourly, package discussed upon application Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do Provide inpatient obstetric care, including routine and complicated deliveries Manage low volume of C-section patients and perform vaginal deliveries Assist with decision-making for C-section procedures, breech, multiple births, and VBACs Repair 3rd & 4th-degree perineal lacerations Participate in OB-GYN call coverage, including phone/in-house on-call shifts Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR Collaborate with midwives, who will handle certain call and deliveries Provide emergency and scheduled obstetric care as needed What You Need Valid KY Medical License or willingness to obtain Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN Up-to-date certifications: BLS, NRP, and OB/GYN-specific certifications 3+ years of obstetric inpatient experience preferred Strong clinical decision-making and teamwork skills About the Assignment This assignment involves providing OB/GYN care at a well-equipped hospital with onsite labs and ultrasound. The facility handles approximately 700-800 deliveries annually, featuring a Level II nursery. Midwives will manage certain patient calls and deliveries, with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.
