JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Urology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Stevens Point, WI Service Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Sep 07, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Flexible schedule, 36 hours per week (typically Mon Fri) On-Call Shift Schedule: 7-10 days per month, includes one weekend Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 30 min Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 16 patients/day in clinic Rounding: Assigned Patients FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RNs: 1, MAs: 2, PA/NPs: 2, Office Staff: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required General Urology Adult w/biopsy TRUS biopsies Fertility work-up Incontinence procedures Penile prosthesis Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) Renal transplant surgery Advanced pediatric surgery Preferred Advanced endoscopic techniques Laparoscopic surgeries Percutaneous nephrolithotomy Ureteroscopy Radical Cystectomy w/ileo-loop conduit Radical prostatectomy Nephrectomy Prostatectomy Pelvic node dissection Robotic surgery Partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound Adrenalectomy Renal and bladded ultrasound JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified required Licenses: None Certifications: BLS required Fellowship: Required Duties & Responsibilities Provide full-time urology coverage in clinic and operating room settings. Perform general urology procedures including TRUS biopsies, incontinence procedures, and penile prosthesis. Participate in system call schedule (7-10 days per month, including one weekend). Occasionally provide outreach coverage at Wisconsin Rapids (1-2 days per month). Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of patient care.
