Aerospace Surface Finishing TechnicianValence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly. Our mission is to be the most trusted partner in aerospace surface finishing.Essential Functions:Inspection of the part before, during, and after processingCompetent operation of all machinery and instruments necessary to safely perform the job function, including routine maintenanceFork truck training for designated employees onlyMaintain a clean, safe work environmentAble to locate and understand relevant Quality system documentation in the Valence computer systemUnderstand, and perform steps defined in the Valence ROUTER, follow Valence procedures on correctly filling out routers, corrections of input mistakes and notification of superior for all other router related problemsCompetent processing of parts with little or no supervisionPractice behavior which avoids damage to parts and protects the part from damageQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to read process traveler and fill out completed operationsAbility to perform simple cleaning operationsAbility to assist as a helper to trained operatorsAble to follow verbal and written directionAble to use basic hand tools such as wrenches and clampsAble to lift/move up to 50 lbs.Able to work under direct supervisionCompany Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Long term Disability, 401(K)-3% Match, Holiday PayCOMPENSATION RANGE: $18 to $21.00 Per HourThis position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
