Power Technician 2Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2, in Bridgeport, NJ. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.We keep our customers' worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.What you'll do:You'll be based out of our Bridgeport, NJ Service Center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.You'll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.Troubleshooting equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations and handling the repairs.You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.You are:High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience3-7 years of experience working on power generators equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.Valid driver's license.Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.Here's what you'll get:Full-time with potential for overtime.Hourly ranges $37-$40 an hourPersonal use vehicle.No premium cost medical plan option available.Robust technical training programs, in person and virtual, on controls, HVAC, electrical, microgrid & storage and more.Career growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement available.Safety-focused culture working on brand new technology.Other essential job requirementsAvailability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shiftsMust be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devicesMust be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead levelMust have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or laddersMust be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squatOur people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
