Project Overview

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is driving unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy

The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.

The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.

Job Summary

In this role, you will provide field engineering expertise in equipment preservation and preventive maintenance or permanent plant equipment, material management, quality assurance and control, and technical inspection and testing. Your recommendations will help keep permanent plant equipment in excellent condition in the warehouse and during construction, supporting safe, smooth commissioning and operation in accordance with project requirements and quality standards. #LI-RM1

Major Responsibilities

Work Planning & Packaging

Prepares the maintenance/preservation plan per vendor installation manuals.

Prepares construction drawings and sketches.

Material Management

Initiates requisitions for field purchases

Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.

Quantities

Verifies commodities and activities are loaded in the tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Safety / Quality Control

Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Technical

Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities

System Turnover Coordinator

For Direct Hire

Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.

STR / Subcontract Coordinator

Reviews and approves inspection test plans,

Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals,

Education and Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

Maintain, promote, and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft.

Knowledge of mechanical construction, including rotating equipment, pumps, tanks and vessels, heat exchangers, and balance of plant systems, and of equipment setting, alignment, and grouting.

Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.1.

Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, with excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.

Able to walk the jobsite on uneven surfaces, climb ladders and scaffolding, and use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Able to work extended schedules and night shift as required to support project execution plans.

Preferred experience in gas‑fired power plants
